ello Centro Techbeta Participants,
Late last week we signed off on build 5112 as the Beta 1 release of Windows Server "Centro".
Hello Centro Techbeta Participants,
Late
last week we signed off on build 5112 as the Beta 1 release of Windows
Server "Centro". This milestone marks the first phase of testing done
on the product outside of Microsoft. We are excited to begin receiving
your feedback and find out whether we are on the right track. Let us
know what you think of the product by filing bugs, suggestions, and
telling us what you do or don't like about the product.
Next Steps
The
installation bits are the most largest piece of the downloads since
they comprise three DVD images. You will also find documentation
available to guide you through several scenarios that are currently
available in Centro. Both the installation bits and the documentation
will be available on the download link on the Centro site. For easy
reference we have included the links below. You will need to sign into
Connect in order to get to these locations.
The Beta 1 installation DVD images and all documentation is available under the downloads section on the Centro Connect Page, http://connect.microsoft.com/centro
We
will not be supporting any deployments in production environments and
ask that you do not deploy Centro into any production environments.
Summary
We
would like to thank each of you for the contributions you are about to
make and look forward to hearing from you. As we move closer to the
final version of Centro we will continue to drive it based on your
feedback to ensure that when it is released, Windows Server "Centro"
will be something of which we can all be proud.
