Macservice.com, a repair and upgrade service for Apple products, announced today that it is offering a $195 upgrade for the Apple TV to raise its internal memory from 40 GB to 160 GB.

After placing the order, Macservice will send the customer a postage paid package to send the device to its Santa Clara, CA office. The site says it will be sent back with the upgraded hard drive within 24 hours of receipt.

Though the main purpose of the Apple TV is the ability to stream content between a PC and a TV, owners have been asking for a larger hard drive so the content can be stored right in the box. A handful of specialty online retailers ship the device pre-upgraded with a 120 GB hard drive.

Macservice.com also offers mail-in repairs and upgrades of Mac computers, as well as PCs.
