Windows Vista SP1的泄漏早已经不是什么新闻了,我们现在就从SP1的注册表和文件入手,看看他们到底在Vista上改进了些什么.
首先我们看版本号,与之前单独发布升级包的习惯不通,此次到来的Vista SP1是一个集成系统的DVD.微软内部网络共享名为:

最先注意到的变化是显而易见的版本号。Windows Vista 的版本号是 6.0.6000，而这个测试版本的版本号为 6.0.6001 （完整的版本号为 6001.16549）。在 SP1 中值得期待的，也是最感兴趣的变化应该是现有的 Vista 内核升级到与 Windows 2008 相同的内核（6.1版本）。不过包含在升级包中的这个内容也许仍然在开发中，而不会包含在早期的测试版本中。

通常来说，升级包不会带来新的特性 - Windows XP SP2 例外。这点在 Vista SP1 上看来是正确的，尽管出现了一个名为“创建一张恢复光盘”的维护程序。其实这与在 DVD 上创建一个系统备份的效果是一样的，反而，当你没有原始的 Windows 安装光盘或者你无法使用 OEM 提供的恢复工具时，你所创建的这个恢复 DVD 光盘还能够提供给你一套系统恢复方案。

性能和兼容性
本次SP1奇迹般地包含了前两天发布的性能和兼容性十全大补丸.首先，我可以肯定在性能上有了明显的提升。有一点很明显，在微软把 Vista 提供给制造商以后，对其代码做了优化。（我怀疑这个观点对那些本来就认为 Vista 早于黄金发布时间推出的人来说是火上浇油。）当 SP1 工作时，硬盘读盘时间明显减少，然后，系统运行看上去也顺畅很多、响应速度也很快。
所有更新都同时支持32位和64位系统.
在整个测试过程中,我发现了大量问题,但这毕竟是一个内部泄露的测试版本.
