OpenBook是VIA提出的一种迷你笔记本参考设计方案，目标正是目前火热的低价笔记本市场。VIA对该平台充满信心，并表示已经有不少大型企业对此产生了浓厚的兴趣，只是没有披露具体是谁。 Fudzilla近日受邀前往VIA台北总部，参观了这种OpenBook笔记本。现场看到了黑白和黑灰两种不同外观的样品，整体看起来很像是华硕的8.9寸Eee PC。有趣的是，OpenBook采用SDIO接口安装所有的无线模块，两个插槽其一用于Wi-Fi、A-GPS或蓝牙，其二用于WiMAX或3/3.5G数据模块。现场样品配备了WiMAX模块和WiBro模块，后者是韩国版的WiMAX。

OpenBook的前端有一个开关，可以在不同的无线模块之间切换，扳到重建则是禁用所有无线功能。

OpenBook现在使用的是VIA C7-M处理器，刚刚发布的Nano系列暂时还不会出现，但是否采用取决于采纳该方案的厂商。
