Wine 1.8.5版本经历长达2个多月的维护更新之后，Wine 1.8.6最新稳定版于今天正式发布。正如用户所期望的，Wine 1.8.6针对上个版本报告的问题进行了调整，并修复了35处记录的BUG。此外，新版本中还着重添加了对显卡的支持，包括Nvidia GTX 690、AMD Radeon RX 480、和此前检测为AIT Radeon 3200的AMD Radeon HD 6480G。

正如消费者所期望的，新的稳定版能够让用户在喜欢的GNU/Linux发行版本或者Mac设备上更好的运行支持Windows应用和游戏。此外新版本中还对ComboFix, ElsterFormular, Smart Cutter 1.9.4, Anthem Room Correction 2 1.0.1, ProtectDisc Driver 11, Microsoft Expression Web 4和Kingsoft Office 2012等进行了优化。

Ellisys Visual USB, Hornbill Supportworks Client 7.6.0, Xenia, Microsoft Word 2010, S3CC921 Programmer以及Epic Games Launcher都得到了改善，Wine 1.8.6承诺在登陆战网的时候能够更好的支持World of Warcraft游戏。

Wine 1.8.6同时还对Age of Empires, The Forest: Terminal, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Starcraft 2, Age of Mythology: Extended Edition, Zombie Army Trilogy, Final Fantasy XI, Max Payne 2 Demo和各种UE4引擎游戏进行了改善支持。
