赶在苹果发布最新平价 iPad 之前，谷歌和 Acer 发布了首款 Chrome OS 平板电脑——Acer Chromebook Tab 10。Chromebook Tab 10 这是首款可以运行 Chrome OS 的平板电脑，此前该系统只能在笔电、台式机和 PC/平板二合一设备中使用。
按照谷歌的说法，这款平板旨是一款为学校设计的方便管理和共享的 Chrombook 笔电的轻量级版本，可以提供触控和手写笔以及 Google Expeditions AR 功能。
搭载 9.7 英寸屏幕，分辨率为 2048 x 1536，重量仅为 1.2 磅左右，支持 Google Play。內建 200 万像素 HD 前置摄像头、双扬声器和单麦克风。后置 500 万像素摄像头可以让学生拍摄视频和图像，提供 9 小时电池续航。
采用一枚 6 核 3399 RockChip 处理器、4GB 内存以及 32GB 存储，USB-C 端口用于充电。
