轻量级的网页服务器、反向代理服务器 Nginx 稳定版分支在10月1日发布了1.0.8版。 Nginx 起初是供俄国大型的门户网站及搜索引擎 Rambler 使用。 Nginx 特点是占有内存少，并发能力强。目前中国大陆使用 Nginx 的网站用户有：新浪、网易、腾讯等。
而在此前一天的9月30日，该软件才刚刚发布1.0.7版。本次更新主要是紧急修正了一个在缺乏某参数情况下无法编译的bug。
