We are pleased to announce the availability of VirusScan Enterprise 8.5i
Release Candidate.

What's New with the Release Candidate:

VSE self-protection is enabled by default

Enhanced Self Protection - The 8.5 release adds functionality that
prevents an attacker or malware from disabling VSE/ASE in order to
further compromise a target. Enhanced self protection uses the improved
Access Protection Rules to lock down VSE/ASE from alteration. For
example, a rule can be enabled to prevent modification of McAfee files
and settings or prevent termination of McAfee processes
