Windows 8.1 Update已经开始分发，而接下来受关注度最高的自然是Windows Phone 8.1，在被问到新版Office软件在WP 8.1中的表现时，来自微软移动部门主管Joe Belfiore的推特消息显示，下一代Windows Phone，也就是8.1版本中的Office将不会带来任何新功能，团队正将开发的重点放在修复各种bug上。

下一代Office移动版将继续包含Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote,SharePoint Workspace这四个组件，并且保持与其它平台的文档兼容性。
