从微软一系列Windows Live扩容,抢占MSN服务的事件可以看出微软正在淡化MSN系列服务的品牌并希望让消费者尽快转向Windows Live,今天微软宣布历史悠久的MSN Chat即将结束旅程,希望用户下载Windows Live Messenger进行交流.

但WLM的多人通信功能到目前为止都没有做得很出色,相比QQ的聊天室和群,希望微软能有所改进.以下是公告全文.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
MSN Chat will no longer be offered on or after October 18th. To communicate directly with your contacts, please download Windows Live Messenger.

Apparently, due to lack of new user sign ups, MSN Chat rooms will be closed down.  This may also effect those users of Phreik chat and Buzzen chat.
